Cedar Has a New Assistant Principal

Cedar Has a New Assistant Principal

On Monday, August 21, the Avon Board of School Trustees approved the hiring of Megan Gregory to serve as the new Assistant Principal at Cedar Elementary. This announcement comes on the heels of longtime Cedar Assistant Principal Shelley Moyers' summertime transition to Pine Tree Elementary to serve as their new Principal.

Mrs. Gregory distinguished herself to the Cedar parents, teachers, support staff, and district administrators who participated in a thorough interview process.

Mrs. Gregory has 14 years of elementary teaching experience. During her time in the classroom, she embraced multiple leadership roles including professional learning committee leader, school leadership team, curriculum committee, and PTO. She also provided professional development and mentoring support for new teachers. For the last year, Mrs. Gregory has served as Assistant Principal for Edgelea Elementary School in Lafayette.

She earned a Bachelors in Elementary Education from University of Indianapolis and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Purdue University.

Mrs. Gregory will begin at Cedar in mid September.

Welcome to Cedar, Mrs. Gregory!
