Meet Avon's Newest Principals

Meet Avon's Newest Principals

At a special board meeting on May 13 — an event at which they also celebrated retiring ACSC employees — Avon Schools named three new principals and one new assistant principal. Each of these individuals will fill positions vacated by principals who have taken on new challenges. The following information is excerpted from an introductory email Dr. Wyndham sent to staff.

Adam Allen

Mr. Adam Allen was named the next Principal at Cedar Elementary. Mr. Allen has been Principal at Blue Academy Elementary School in Decatur Township since 2020. Prior to that he served as Assistant Principal at Decatur Middle School and Mooresville High School. He has children who currently attend Avon Schools and is excited to be a part of the great work happening at Cedar Elementary. He will replace Kevin Gray when he retires this summer.

Stephane Bordelon

Mrs. Stephane Bordelon was named the next Principal at Intermediate East/Evergreen Elementary. Mrs. Bordelon has been a principal for 12 years – in Indiana and in Louisiana. She’s also served as an English/Language Arts Specialist at the district level, an Assistant Principal, an Assistant Director of Special Education, and a General Education and Special Education Teacher. She is excited to lead East next school year and help transition it to Evergreen Elementary.

Laura Lee

We didn’t have to look very far for the next Principal at Intermediate West/Willow Elementary. Mrs. Laura Lee was promoted from Assistant Principal to Principal at West. Prior to coming to Avon in January 2020, Mrs. Lee was a district instructional coach in the MSD of Wayne Township. She has both elementary and middle school teaching experience and is excited to continue positively impacting West. We will be posting her Assistant Principal position in the coming days.

Jim Graham

With Dr. Dan Peo’s transition to Middle School South, we began the process of finding his replacement as an Assistant Principal at Avon High School. Mr. Jim Graham will be transitioning into that role. Mr. Graham has served as an Assistant Principal at East Noble High School for seven years. Prior to that, Mr. Graham was a high school Band Director in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.

We are excited to welcome these principals to Avon Schools this summer.
